Aerosols

Aerosols are the tiny particles floating in the atmosphere.  These little bits are suspended in the atmosphere from the surface of the Earth.  Aerosols can be of two types one is Primary and the other is Secondary aerosols. Dust, Soot and Sea salts etc. are the primary aerosols and they directly enter into the atmosphere by the gusty winds. Soot and smoke enters from Industries, Vehicles, Volcano eruption and forest fires etc.  Organic compounds and liquid acid droplets etc. are called secondary aerosols.

Aerosols come from natural and human sources. For example dust comes from natural sources like deserts, dried edges of rivers and lake beds etc. Burning fossil fuels produce greenhouse gases like Carbon-di-Oxide CO2 and Carbon Monoxide CO and it is only because of human activity. Vehicle smoke, Industrial smoke and wastages, Agriculture sprays etc. are some more examples for the human sources of air pollution.

Air pollution has a severe impact on human and animal life.  Increased the risk of heart diseases like heart attack, Lung diseases, asthma and more.  Air pollution mainly hits children and their healthy growth. Many countries are facing severe health issues with aerosols.  Health risks from tiny particles in air pushed the people into high risk in China and India particularly in urban areas.
