       Vande Bharath Express train is the first Indian semi bullet train which started in February 2019. Initially the train was started between Delhi and Varanasi eventually started between all the major cities of India. The maximum speed of the train is 180 KMPH and the Vande Bharath Project has taken up under “Make in India”.

     Sudanshu Mani a Mechanical Engineer in Indian Railways is the major head behind the Vande Bharath Project. In his 36 years of service in the Indian Railway could bring many inventories, Vande Bharath is the diamond among them which made him The Train Man of India.  When the Indian government had an idea to introduce bullet trains in India and consulted many countries for the technology of bullet train.  A European company coated 250 crores of Indian rupees only for 10 Coaches without transferring technology.  At that time The Train Man of India Sudanshu Mani chose to work at Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Peramburu Chennai, and forwarded a proposal to build a bullet train to the Government by seeking project funds of only 100 crores of Indian rupees.  The government agreed to his proposal and sanctioned 100 crores to the project. As soon as the government agreed for the project Sudanshu Mani formed a team with the best engineers and started working on it. 

     After eighteen months Sudanshu Mani could fulfil the dream of the Bullet train of every Indian that too with the cost of around 97 crores. Initially the train was named as Train 18 and later changed to Vande Bharath. It is very difficult to run the fastest train in the countries with the highest population density like India. But with strong will power everyone can create wonders, and it is proven by the Mani sir.  After the project Sundanshu Mani has retired from his services but his hard work for better India is inspiring every Indian. Now the Vande Barath is connecting all the major cities of the country and reducing the lot of valuable time of the people.
