US Tariffs on India, an opportunity to Self-Reliant India, Athmanirbhar Bharth

    Highest populated country in the world, highly diversified communities, cultures, languages, food habits and climate conditions. But unity in diversity. That is India. Under the strong leadership, peak growth in economy, fourth largest economy in the world. Indian manufacturing sector is increasing in part of "Make in India". IT is the main export for the past, for few years we can see an exponential growth in the export of electronics, automobile, textile, jewelry, engineering goods and pharmaceuticals. 

    US government imposed 50% tariffs on Indian exports. 25% tariff started from 7 August 2025, remaining 25% start by the end of the august month. American major retail markets Walmart and Amazon stopped orders from India. As per the US leaders, the reason for the tariffs, buying Russian crude oil by the India which supporting Russia to war with Ukraine. China is buying more crude oil than India from Russia. Many of the European countries depend on Russia for their energy needs. But as per the US India only supporting Ukraine and Russia war. Indian Government stood strongly and continuing to buy crude oil from Russia. It is necessary to fulfil the energy needs of 145 crores (1.45 billion) of Indian population.

    What India to do in this situation? Indian Government, every Indian look back to the opportunities in our country, resources and our population. World population is around 800 crores (8 billion), India is rich with almost 20% share in the world population. India has valuable human resources and chief Laboure force. Indian human resources playing an important role in the growth of economy of many developed countries. Huge number of world class companies hiring our IIT, IIM students by paying crores of salaries. World class universities molding the students into skilled professionals.

    India is the big market with 145 crores of population. The purchasing power of the people increasing day by day. Many cities emerging in the country with their rapid growth. Hyderabad, Bangaluru, Chennai, Cochi, Noida, Gurgaon, Pune, Ahmedabad and Visakapatnam etc. are the cities rising rapidly which creating various opportunities. Urban population is growing rapidly in India. In the part of "Make in Inda" World class companies rushing to India and establishing their manufacturing units and creating new jobs for youth. Variety of startup companies are turned into big caps in the market. Indian markets NSE and BSE touching all-time highs, when the rest of the world markets looking down. During the pandemic many countries with world class facilities faced many problems. But India stood strongly.  

    Now US Government imposed sanctions on India, in future another county may follow the same.  It is the time to focus on our own market and opportunities. Initially it is hard to survive, we may face many challenges, but over a period we get fruitful results. There is a huge market for electronics, automobiles and textile industries. The demand for Smartphones, Laptops, Led TVs, Cars and Fashion increasing rapidly. Automobile industry rapidly shifting towards Electronic Vehicles and creating new age vehicles. The support of the Central and State government in this regard remarkable. Strong government can face any challenge and can create opportunities. 

    This is the time to became "Self-Reliant India". ""Äthmanirbhar Bharath"
